Back on Blogspot!

Graduated and now in the real world of post college transition. The gap between posts is mostly because my google account was connected to my college email and for some reason I was having trouble getting access. Randomly that problem has solved itself (Google witchcraft most likely).

Being locked out of blogspot was really too much a disappointment because I really wasn't enjoying hour long battles with the format to get my posts looking exactly the way I wanted and most of the time I ended up losing anyways. However the new Blogspot seems to show some promise, so I'm going to give it a try.

Since I see this blog as an active history of my life as well as a creative outlet and many other things I want to make some posts to bridge the year long gap. To help that task the reader can get a look at what I've been up to via the tumblr account I adopted. Its been an easy way to post pictures and keep the creative spirit alive.

During the months I wasn't on blogspot. Ive been busy. A lot of emotion leaving Santa Cruz after four years and excitement to embrace whatever future lies ahead of me.

All the pictures of graduating bring back some really happy memories. Being able to celebrate with my family and friends meant a lot to me. Many of them live in Northern California so I won't get to see them that often.  So saying good bye to Santa Cruz meant saying goodbye to a lot of my family that had been such a great support system to me while I attended school and leaving behind friends I may never see again.

Still Im staying optimistic. I had a great summer, lifeguarding and heading up our San Clemente Surf Life Saving Association Non Profit. A lot of new responsibility coupled with new opportunity to serve the community.

Now Im working, and taking an EMT class. Although I've taken smaller steps then my parents would like, I am moving towards my career in education. The time between college and career is strange, especially with the economy like it is. Many of my friends don't have jobs and if they do its not the career they intended. Most of us dream of traveling and having great adventures. That's where I am now. I still want to travel, so cross your fingers because after my EMT class ends im headed to Europe!
